Nature creates its wonders every single day. That is how it’s been since the beginning and how it will continue until the end. This banded iron was found at the Alcova Reservoir in Wyoming. Expressing its stripes across the rough, organic form of the stone shows that the earth made it that way. It is not my work, but I give it a place that shows what the world can do without us. The band mimics and contrasts the organic face of the stone, a natural appearance that is less chaotic. Nature creates its wonders every single day, and we just need to find a reason to look at them.
